Woefully named Mourning of the Wedding, this garment represents a time of both celebration and mourning. For some, a wedding represents passionate love and prosperity. Whilst for others, it can represent fear and the frightening unknown. Black lava decorates the trim of the veil and gossamer train, symbolising a fire burning deep within the bride which borderlines tender love and spiteful hate. Gold thorns from the bouquet line the bodice of the gown representing the possibility of a new, powerful beginning that could, alas, spike either way.

Digital fashion designer
Alexandra Uytenbogaardt aka astroporcelain, currently has a blog on mirror.xyz where she writes about digital fashion. Recently, she started to teach herself digital fashion design after being inspired by the many talented artists currently dominating the scene. She is still very new with the software tools but she’s taking it one moment at a time. After all, learning is a lifelong marathon and not a short-term sprint, in my eyes. She is also a full-time mom to two baby girls, a full-time data auditor, as well as an NFT collector. Alexandra’s biggest aim in web3 is to continue to support the work her fellow creators produce in this space.
